Joe Simonton was a local chicken farmer and tradesman living outside Eagle River, Wisconsin. On 18 April 1961, he reported seeing a bright, disc-shaped object near his property and encountering three humanoid figures inside or associated with the craft. The U.S. Air Force investigated the report through Project Blue Book, its official UFO investigation programme.
