Introduction

The surviving Army document is a “Near Midair Collision with UFO Report” prepared through Army Reserve flight channels. According to the report, the helicopter was returning from Columbus to Cleveland at about 2,500 feet when crew member Robert Yanacsek observed a red light on the horizon. Why the document mattered

The significance of the Army report was not that it classified the event as extraterrestrial or confirmed an extraordinary aircraft.
